So a while back I bought this converter/switchbox. It accepts s-video, component, vga, and hdmi, and outputs all of these formats through a single hdmi cable. It was pricey, but I took a chance and it worked wonderfully.
Until tonight. All of a sudden, it no longer puts out sound. I still get a picture, crystal clear, but no sound at all. Except from the hdmi inputs. Those work fine.
I checked everything thoroughly and I'm certain the converter is the culprit, but I don't know why. Nothing has changed since the last time I used it 4 or 5 days ago.
This is the unit in question, if it helps, though I bought mine on ebay. I haven't been able to find any kind of trouble shooting information online.

Anybody have any insight on what the problem may be? I'd open it up, but I have no idea what to look for.

Re: Converter/Switchbox sound issue
Just to update on this, tonight I tried to use it again, just for shits and giggles.
Suddenly it works again. I changed nothing.
*shrug*
I mean, yay, of course I'm happy, but what the hell.
