The one I'm I have a chance to buy is actually a security monitor. I know it has BNC ports but I was wondering if it would be good for gaming on.

I don't think that is what you are looking for. The BNC connector on that unit is basically meant for individual cameras, and the BNC connector is just used to create a more solid connection that equates to something like composite video quality.

I'm looking through the spec page to prove myself wrong, but my understanding is that the hookups are meant for 4 individual security cameras, and cannot be combine three inputs (RBG) into a single signal.
If you aren't having a good time, why are you playing?

It's not an RGB monitor. But it does support NTSC and PAL, if you want to get into import gaming, there's also a hard drive for DVR features of some kind.
Lum fan.
