Times like this, I miss Hobie.

Yeah, I heard Turtle Wax is really good for getting those gold pins to shine.

Yeah that's why I said that. I miss hobie also
I usually just used brasso or alcohol during my collecting days.

Thanks for the awesome advice and quick replies! This morning I tried putting some magic cards into the slot behind the cart to keep pressure on it and it worked! Three cards was perfect. (Because my nerdness is well rounded and I also happen to play MTG lol) Now I will look into fixing the pins - will have to wait a few days until I can borrow a security bit, will keep you all updated though. Is it just me, or is the SNES junior more finicky than the older console? It seems like friends I know have an easier time with the original consoles... But it could be my imagination. Also just for the kicks of it I will take some pics of the carts. The worst of all of them was Zelda - the case was cracked - no screws - superglue EVERYWHERE, contacts black. I took it out of the cart, cleaned it a ton, and put it into a donor cartridge... Best part is that it still saves! lol. And I bought it for 7$! Mario world had a big dead roach inside, but I've cleaned that out already so no good pics there I'm afraid..
Should take me a few days to find the downtime but I will keep you all posted, thank you all so much for the help (this forum is sweeeet)
Also what is the opinion on using rubber erasers to clean contacts?

Fact you're using cards to apply pressure means the pins in the game cartridge port are recessed and need a needle to lever each one back into place (as I mentioned before).

As to pencil eraser - I use that method all the time, works great.

Or it could just be that the pins are still dirty and tilting the cart makes the cart slot pins "dig" into the cart connector more. You can simply judge how tight the cart feels when you insert it to determine whether you need to bend the pins out or now. SNES cart slot pins are pretty good, you usually don't have to worry about them getting out of whack unless you jammed something in there to try and clean them and bent them.

An eraser on the cart pins is fine, just finish up with rubbing alcohol or contact cleaner as the last step to remove any crap left behind by the eraser.

Well like I said yesterday, the card behind the game trick should prove or disprove something being really busted or loose. Sure it could be dirty, but I think it just has been compressed through the years and suggested using a pointy object to pull the things out a bit to firm it up.

Get it open if need be, but as I said, get something just down into it, no need to pull it apart entirely at this rate. Barely carefully pry those pins one by one towards center more and I think you'll find things being more friendly.

i use Deoxit Red and Gold on carts , i have a 4MB Ram Cart for Saturn that would rarely work so i used Deoxit and it works fine now. Also i am getting into Neo Geo MVS collecting and my Neo Drift Out cart would have slowdowns in game here and there so again Deoxit did the trick. I use Isopropyl on slots with a Credit Card and then Gold after that
