Have some of the usual members left Racketboy forums ?

hi members , i noticed that about half of the usual members on RB forums have disappeared. When i start a Thread i usually get replies from multi members but not anymore it seems they've left the forums.

Yup, and after the charity stuff I'm out.

Most return after a short hiatus, only a few don't. It's usually temporary family stuff etc.

There's some great long-standing members who actually said goodbye, tho most returned later. The last long-term member I can recall saying he'd leave forever and never returned was Limewater back in 2012. I think Moz said goodbye and came back (love ya, man).

If you're concerned;

As a forum member, you can click the profile icon on the previous post of a member and see if they're just lurking (last active/visit), then click the email or PM icon and ask if everything's okay.

For a few months now, I've really just been reading here and there and not posting a whole lot.

Some have left and there has not been an influx of new people to cover it for several reasons. Namely the main page slumped due to most of the main writers having other interests/hobbies take priority, or had kids. But there are people actively working on frontpage material again.

I think this is normal for any forum. People's lives change. Their circumstances and habits change. And despite being a forum about gaming, a lot of us don't have a huge amount of time for games, but we still chat it up because we want to.

As much as I miss some of the folks who left, I know there will be new folks we'll eventually come to know and like just as much. And maybe a few of us will never leave, just you try and get rid of us...

I know of a few who have disappeared but I know I am missing a bunch.
