That whole soundtrack is pretty boss.

My favorite OSTs from the Genesis belong to those games I enjoy the most. Go figure. Specifically, Phantasy Star II, Phantasy Star III, Shining Force II, and Exile.

Overall, I think Exile sounds and plays better on Genesis than it does on Turbo Duo.

It is so rare you get something wrong, Bone, that it hurts that much more when you do.

I appreciate the religiosity of the game, and how seriously it takes itself. This is marred by the cornball 90s voice-acting and WD dialogue in the Duo version. I also don't think the audio benefits much from the CD format. Compare that to something like Ys III, where the Duo gameplay and audio just craps all over all other ports.

That phantasy star III opening theme is such an amazing track. Truly one of the greats!

Agree x1000000. Also, Wren Transforms knocked my socks off before I even played the game proper.

I've been discovering some truly random stuff in the car these days. Here's a cute little ditty that for some inexplicable reason reminded me so powerfully of my childhood it made my eyes mist over on the highway:

Quattro Arcade: CJ's Elephant Antics -- Ending Theme (NES)

I've never heard an arpeggio quite so shortly clipped, and to me it sounds like a little puppy woofing along while it strolls beside its favorite human.

One of the best Lower/Red Brinstar remixes I've ever heard:
