Re: What Anime are you Currently Watching?/Anime Recommendat
So another question, is there anywhere I can stream the more back catalogue stuff? There's a lot of stuff from 90s-2015 I want to watch, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I don't exactly want to go out and buy a bunch of DVDs and Blu Rays if I'm not going to like them.

Been getting into Lupin the 3rd because of toonamiaftermath.com and I'm starting it from part 1 today. It's perfect for sampling to make music with! Really love this show.

Steins;Gate anime is on the way to my house. Excited for this one, and I rarely watch anime these days. Watched a bit on YouTube and it seems pretty high quality.

I enjoyed it. Was one of the bigger releases of the season if I recall.

I've watched 7 episodes (subbed) and really enjoyed it so far.
I swear I won't cry at the end. Not saying whether or not this happened when I played the VN...............

I started up Made in Abyss. It’s like David Cronenberg teamed up with Studio Ghibli to make a very loose adaptation of Mega Man Legends. That is, it’s totally awesome. Has anyone else watched it?
Re: What Anime are you Currently Watching?/Anime Recommendat
I watched Made in Abyss a couple of months ago and really loved it! It made me think of Panzer Dragoon and that's always a good thing. I'm looking forward to the movie coming out so I can see more of the story.
Currently I'm watching Lil' Red Riding Hood Cha-Cha/Akazukin Cha-Cha via imported laserdiscs. I had seen a few fansubbed episodes years ago and had the OVAs on LD but it feels good finally going through the whole series start to finish. It's a magical girl series but the transformations and combat feel like an afterthought, the primary focus of the show is cute comedy; it's EXTREMELY SILLY and I'm totally loving it.

I just watched "Erased" on Netflix- seriously fantastic, definitely recommend. Very serious anime about stopping a serial killer by using time travel, and it's very short (12 episodes). Worth a watch.
Re: What Anime are you Currently Watching?/Anime Recommendations
I'm not really an animé fan, but I just watched Street Fighter: the Animated Movie, and it makes the list of anime I liked, which includes:
Akira
Ghost in the Shell (and the sequel)
Cowboy Bebop
Vinland Saga (s.1)
Berserk (until the end)
Also included in stuff I watched and liked, but are more fantasy RPG-style stuff, not recommended in general unless you like the genre:
Record of the Lodoss War
Slayers (kind of)
I also liked Trigun for the most part, but it's hard to recommend. Ninja Scroll was OK, but very overrated.
I don't count the new Mortal Kombat series or Castlevania as "anime", I think, but I did enjoy them (more the original CV then MK, the latter of which is only suitable as a nostalgia fest).
Anything else along these lines I would appreciate to know.

By the way, isn't that ending just like the old Hulk tv series?

If you liked Cowboy Bebop you'd probably enjoy Samurai Champloo (same creator/director, I believe).
Fantasy-wise I enjoyed The Seven Deadly Sins (netflix). Kind of silly/campy/somewhat juvenile though. First episode wasn't the best but I got hooked after the second or third and have seen all of the series now.
I also enjoyed Soul Eater up until the end which kind of sucked.
If you want crazy/violent/awesome watch Dorohedoro.
Have you seen FLCL yet? Pretty much the standard "you have to watch this" from 20 years ago. Only around 5 episodes.
edit - I also freakin' loved Cells At Work. It basically describes how the human body functions using cute anime characters.
