I headed to my father's house the day before and helped smoke a ham. In the morning, we packed up a lot of beer and brought a bunch of food my stepmother made along with the ham down to my aunt's husband's house in Montgomery, AL. A bunch of my brothers, cousins, their spouses or girlfriends, etc. came by. We watched first the Bears and then the Cowboys beat the spread for my football pool. My dad also got hotel rooms, so currently my fiancee and I are crashing. We drive back to Atlanta tomorrow morning.

Go to the parents for dinner. My sister with her kids are showing up, so it shouldn't be too big. Much smaller than before. With it so small, my mom/sister will probably ask me 20 questions throughout the evening.

Then go home to play some more Lost Vikings. :D

Replace Lost Vikings with Wild Arms 4.
And probably not as many questions because my life isn't exciting right now.

I did sleep 11 hours last night.
That was heaven! :D

My wife and I are at my mom's new house. She's only just started moving in with my grandmother, and it's an older home that needs a lot of work...but so was the house they just moved out of.

So far, my wife's been bitten by a dog, the hot water has gone out, and the pork was undercooked and had to go back in the oven during dinner. But it's time with family, so I am appreciative of that.

Happy Thanksgiving, folks.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. It was strange this year seeing my extended family, but not eating with them. Still, I am thankful we got to see each other and that everyone is healthy and generally happy. Also, the food was exceptional. My wife an I roasted a chicken and a duck, and we made mashed potatoes, giblet gravy, haricot verts (sautéed in duck fat!), cranberry sauce, and dressing. My wife also made three pies, and we exchanged food with my extended family. I am stuffed, and we have yet to embark on dessert!

I think that, this year, I am more deeply thankful for everything in my life, I am so, so lucky, and I have been so blessed. Among my blessings, I count my friends on this forum. I have met a lot of very good and interesting people here, and I am lucky to have such a solid group of people with whom I can discuss my favorite hobby.

This year was a little bit different for me.

My sister wanted to host it last year, but her husband was in the Hospital around this time. Instead, she decided to host it this year. The food was good as her husband decided to use the Air Fryer and the turkey was really moist, which was a first for me. My mom normally makes it incredibly dry.

There were only 9 of us and I was only out of my house for 90 minutes, so it was incredibly short. I think the only person I really came in contact with was my sister and her large dog.

Besides that, I played Sakura Wars (PS2) for most of the day and had a good sleep.
