I'm 6'1, about 175-180 lbs. I partied a lot during college, and somehow with out keeping it updated, my tolerance is strong. Nothing to gloat about though.saturnfan wrote: You must be a big dude or an experienced drinker because a 6 pack of bigfoot would be like consuming 14 miller lites on top of the 6 real miller lites you drank.
I am just saying that most would be ripped by the end of that bigfoot six pack.

Ahh another Unibrou suggestion. I tried the Maudite a while back after a friend suggested it. It was delicious - I'll have to give Fin Du Monde a shot too!durkada wrote: Nice list!
I recently started a new job that has alot of immigrants from Chile... I'll have to bring this up with them tomorrow.
I would also suggest you give a Unibrou beer a try. Specifically, Fin Du Monde. Humourous branding with gothy beer names and labels, but the taste is out of this world.

Interesting fact. Alcohol, which in large consumption can have quite a few grams of sugar and carbs lowers you blood glucose. Anything else with carbs and sugar would raise your blood glucose. Drink a whole bunch, and your blood glucose lowers, and quite a few other things happen to your body Due to the effects of alcohol . (Dehydration) Your pancreas regulates blood glucose levels, preventing it from going too high or low. Even so, when consuming alcohol your Blood Glucose will dip, causing a bad hangover the next day.

Actually it depends on the individual and can either raise or lower the blood glucose, initially. Ultimately, the alcohol will lower blood glucose, if enough is drank without eating properly. This is many times a rebound effect or "crash" reactionary of it spiking the glucose levels initially. The hangover, the next day is also partially a result of blood sugar crash, as he stated.
Ethanol (any alcohol you drink) itself contains no sugar or carbs - alcohol is the biproduct of sugar being broken down by the yeast (yeast eats the sugar, shits out the alcohol we love).

The term "Alcohol" Is used often to describe a drink containing notable amount of alcohol. (You knew what I meant, people also use different terms for things, (Ie Soda, Pop, Sodapop, coke)
I haven't had the feeling of a hangover after notable periods of time with high or low blood glucose levels. So it is, just a factor.

Interesting. I have actually wondered about that before. I have always suspected I have slight blood sugar issues, but have tested normal. I really feel the effects of "spiking" my blood sugar, and if I don't eat something solid (carbs, protein, and fiber) every so often, i feel shaky, weak, and all around ill. I think I am close to the threshold.

Coffee, tea and water.
I slowly stopped drinking booze after exiting the Army. At one time I was in this "100 beer club" where you attempt to drink 100 unique beers from around the world and upon completion you get your name on the wall. I made it to 80 and stopped. Probably the only hobby that cost me more than gaming. Some of those beers were $17+ a piece

While sober, translate them... If it was just french, it could have been about pastoral hills and belch flowers. But its not. End of the World, The Damned...saturnfan wrote: I second Unibrou, although I don't agree that the names are "gothy", they are just in french.
Re: Choice beverages
Been drinking a lot of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale lately and then tonight I was a little short on cash and thought I would brave Bud Ice...BIG F'IN mistake. That crap is going in the trash and I'm on my way back to the store to buy some actual beer instead of bottled piss.
