There is really little reason to promote people right now. I mean most of the people on the chat are regulars on the board. One or two mods and we should be alright.

Actually it is. There's a link at the top of the page, marked "IRC Chat." It's on the same line as User Control Panel. Click that, and you should be presented with the Racketboy main site design, with a chat window in the middle of the screen. Just put in your handle instead of guest, and away you go.

I think Bact is talking about in-line chat window like over at pcenginefx. I think Shoutbox is the correct term.

Ah great, it wasn't happy in Firefox but fine in Opera. Pity, just tried it, just me on! (i'm in the UK, so a different timezone to most).
