Woah! Blizzard is remaking Diablo in D3's engine and releasing it as a free patch to Diablo III: Reaper Of Souls.

cool! Maybe I will finally play through it in this form...I have never been able to stay interested past a few hours in the past, despite adoring Diablo III.

I don't think it includes the original 3 class -warrior, rouge, and sorcerer to play as, correct?

Correct; you play as a regular D3 character.

Very cool. I grew up on 2 and enjoyed 3 (played pre-patches, which I hear it's a different game by this point and need to check it out again). So it'll be cool to play through 1 this way.

I think i will much rather stick with the original. It hasn't aged all that well but it's still going to be a butchered in transition. Diablo 3 ain't diablo and this "remake" isn't going to be either.

Wow and with my pc fail I just had to reinstall D3 the other day.

Seems like an interesting curio but nothing noteworthy. It's still nice to see Diablo follow in the footsteps of Doom, Age of Empires, and Baldur's Gate by having their content updated for modern gamers though.

Diablo 3 ain't diablo and this "remake" isn't going to be either.

I don't have too much experience with the series, but Diablo felt like a classic CRPG while Diablo III (which I played on a friend's PS4) felt more like a brawler.
