Together RPG - Eye of the Beholder - 5/11 --> 7/11

Post by Jmustang1968 »

Our next game will be Eye of the Beholder.

Eye of the Beholder is a D&D game originally released in 1991 on Dos and Amiga.
It is also on:
PC-98
SNES
Sega CD

There also exists a GBA game of the same name that shares some similarities but is basically a stripped down version.

This is an old SSI Gold Box game and is a first person view dungeon crawler.

Who all will be participating? Chime in with any questions or comments and get ready for the 11th to begin!

This ended up in my Summer Challenge for a reason. I plan to join in on the SNES.

I have it on SNES and Sega CD, though I'll most likely be playing the SNES version.

If GOG manages to get it before the end of the time period I'll try to join in, but I'm not holding my breath for it. I played Lands of Lore which is basically the proper Eye of the Beholder 3 and I don't think I'd enjoy the series on a controller.

It's a pretty decent game, and fairly tame as far as old RPGs go. I'm sure using a mouse would be easier, but yeah, I wanna go the SNES route.

Does the SNES port work with the SNES mouse?

GBA ver looks interesting, but since I've never played I'm gonna stick to one of the main entries.

I believe so. I'll just be using the controller though.

I'll be on the Sega CD, which I should be able to actually play now that I have a RAM cart.
