Some pretty cool news here -- Ecco II: Sentinels of the Universe prototype has been leaked, and it's also playable on a real Dreamcast.

Very cool... shame about the sound though. I wonder if some music was completed for it? Spencer Nilsen's scores for the Sega CD releases was incredible.

I think this was also covered a few days back on DP, and I said there it's amazing, never knew much about the radar system (never had a manual or used a faq) and couldn't get but a few stages in the 8/16bit stuff. I was thinking it would be cool if someone could hack the audio (music/sfx) from Ecco1 DC onto it just to give it some character as a silent game is a sad one.

I'm impressed. I have no doubt that a properly motivated fan will find a way to add music to this game. I always like the music from Tides of Time, personally.
