No no - I'm an idiot - I meant Galactic Attack. (Layer Section, RayForce, whatever the F it's called). I got Galactic Attack for $30 which is doing about $50 lately so I was excited.

Phew -_-
Now that's a much more enjoyable game there ;-)
Go my copy of Galactic Attack over a year and a half ago for only $20 at a local shop. A fun Lil shmup.

I wouldn't recommend Galaxy Fight. But If you are curious, just proceed with caution and don't pay too much for such a bland 2D fighter.

Basically I'll pick up ANY Saturn game... for a certain price. So something I want to play I'll be willing to pay more for. A game that I'm not too excited about has to be "too cheap to pass up." Though I've been surprised. Worldwide Soccer was fun, and one I only grabbed because it was so cheap.

Responding to Parodius talk:
It is the original hardware for that particular port of the game (as opposed to playing on an emulator, as I was sharing).
I have a parodious fami cart now as well (acquired last year, I think). Quite impressive for the system. Why we could never have a domestic NA release (on any system) is still confusing to me.

I routinely go through Gamestop's Wii selection and grab a handful of below $2 games. You never know when shovelware might make a good drinking game.

I understand. I'm a similar way with purchasing Saturn games. Take some of my most recent Saturn purchases for example, got Fatal Fury 3 for $7. Not too happy with how well the game runs on Saturn, but he price was decent in having to find out first hand. Got WH Perfect for $20 and the game runs damn well. A good port. Got Savaki for $10. An amazing 3D fighter on the Saturn I had no info on. And D-Xhird for $9, a real craptacular 3D fighter on the Saturn :?

yeah this is sort of how I think of collecting. I really enjoy finding a game at a good price that I'm not familiar with and then making myself play it and form my own opinion on it. That's the whole point of my site really. Sort of chronicling my collection, but my impressions on each game. So there's certainly value to me in picking up even the 'bad games.'

I couldn't' remember what D-Xhird was so I just looked it up. It looks terrible. I can now remember why I never bit on it.

I've thought about doing something similar myself for quite sometime. Just never got around to it.

But the cover art on the package looked so damn cool and shiny! I just had to buy it

I feel like I was pretty in tune with JP SAT fighters / shooters.

I've NEVER heard of Savaki. I was sure you were misinterpreting...something, maybe Sokko Setokai or Suiko Enbu Fuu Saiki....but sure enough - it is a thing. A think i've never seen and now will probably buy.

Blazing Heroes is a fun strategy RPG by Mirco Cabin. Really janky graphics though.

I was in th same Park when I first saw it. The cover kinda drew me to it. Even more interesting , there wasn't much info on the net to go by about the game other than it being a release near the Saturn's commercial life in Japan.
It's a strangely fun game. A fighter very grounded to reality. It's a fighting sim. Only one stage. Not much of a presentation. But it looks impressive for a Saturn game. Nice 3D graphics, Super smooth framerate, easy to learn and has some very addicting tunes.
