CD 32X Games?
CD 32X Games?
I have always wanted to know, what are the benefits of playing a CD-32X game instead of a normal 32X game like corpse killer? since it has versions for both.
Re: CD 32X Games?
If memory serves me correct it bumped up the color pallet / amount of colors able to be drawn on screen.
ie: Color video.
ie: Color video.

Well, presumably they'd use redbook audio for the music and any videos could look better since there's more storage.IcKy99 wrote:I have always wanted to know, what are the benefits of playing a CD-32X game instead of a normal 32X game like corpse killer? since it has versions for both.

Sorry, I missed something you said in your first post.
Corpse Killer came out on the Sega CD and the Sega CD 32X (Meaning it came on CD format but required the 32X to be set up as well). So the audio would be the same it just has improved video.

Re: CD 32X Games?
Well, sort of. It offered an upgrade, so if you had both the 32X and the SegaCD then if you could pick between the two versions of the game. You wouldn't have been losing any money, just getting a better version of the game.
But it does seem a bit cash cowish.

Re: CD 32X Games?
Aren't the CD/32X games smoother than the CD counterparts?

When I said CD, I meant Sega CD. Thought it would've been redundant to say Sega CD. ;PNote: Both SegaCD and SegaCD 32X games come on CD's
