Yeah, I actually own Guardian Heroes in Japanese. It is definitely perfectly playable without English, but if you wanna unlock everything, keep GameFAQs handy.Purkeynator wrote: As is Guardian Heroes. I understand there is some Japanese language but its still playable without understanding it.

I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a copy of Guardian Heroes, but is the Japanese version of Burning Rangers playable? Does it have any sort of English to it or is that not needed to enjoy it?
BananaXX's FS/FT Shop!!! +27 feedback and growing!!

There are directions given to you by Chris (your navigator) and you get emails (they're a bonus, not required to beat the game), but other than that, you should be fine in Japanese.BananaXX wrote:I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a copy of Guardian Heroes, but is the Japanese version of Burning Rangers playable? For the price difference, on both Guardian Heroes and Burning Rangers, you'd be better off going JP, about 15% of the price from recent ebay sales. With that said, I still prefer the US version, there is text and sure you can play around it just fine, but much more enjoyable in english I found. For me, the only time I go JP is on SHMUP's, Fighters and Puzzlers if there is a sig. price difference or the game wasn't released in US, at least 50%. There are plenty of action/adventure games you "can" play and "can" beat, but you will often miss part of the story, or will have to do trial and error when say buying a gun or using a potion. With that said, the JP Saturn library is vast and amazing (and expensive for the best stuff) - the US library has some great stuff too, just not alot of it.
Ok, now onto my question that I just want someone to clarify. It was said that Saturn controllers are region free? Is that true of all Saturn controllers (standard, analog, arcade, and guns)? I know Dreamcast guns and some fight sticks were region coded. I ask because i'm finally going to just get a JP system to befriend my US system and get rid of the ST-Key. I have plenty of diff. controllers, but want to know for sure they will play on JP saturn before buying just the bare console...thanks...
