I really liked Bust-a-move 4 on the Dreamcast. The chain reaction really adds to the gameplay.

I've always liked Puzzle Bobble Mini on the NGPC.

Another vote for 4, the 2 player mode on it is insanely addictive.

I don't like all the extras in the later installments. I like to keep it simple,so Saturn Bust-a-move 2, Tatio Legends PS2 and Bust-a-Move 3DO. The newer ones bother me because Bubble and Bobble aren't at the fore front and if you hit the roof the ball just bounces down, in other words you can get rid of a piece you don't need by throwing it at the ceiling.

Of the portables I find Space Bust-A-Move DS the best. Even though it has a lot of the extras I like that Bubble and Bobble are the leads again and that it can use the Taito paddle controller

My first experience with bust a move was the Neo Geo version. I wish that version was ported.

My vote goes for Bust-a-Move '99 / Puzzle Bobble 3. Deeble Bobble is awesome!

I can't speak for the gameplay, but the Saturn version had some great cover art

It's a toss up between the 3rd and 4th installments for me, though i think the 4th just edges it out by having the level creator from the 2nd game back. To be honest though I own all three on the Sega consoles, I'm daft like that.
