Re: Switch Discussion Thread

I recently picked up Shredder's Revenge. Metroid Prime Remaster is a bit exciting. It's needed an upgrade for some of the stray lower res textures. Honestly I was hoping TotK would be more like BotW (yeah I know complainers are calling it too similar), the "floating islands" thing isn't re...

Re: PES 2014 USA PSP rarity?

This has got to be the final physical game to be released for the PSP. I mean, if this isn’t it, what was the last game released for the PSP? Erm, a handful of games were after this: Summon Night 5 Retro City Rampage DX Breath of Fire III (American PSN) Yu-Gi-Oh Tag Force Special Toukiden Kiwami Tr...

PES 2014 USA PSP rarity?

I was poking around and PES 2014 for PSP seems to be phenomenally scarce in North America. From the look of it, even the likes of Goal Storm 97 or ISS Pro Evolution have more copies in the wild. The serial number is ULUS-1065 and I've spotted some pictures on GameFAQs that look legit. Except there's...

Re: PS3, PSP, PS Vita: The (digital) End is Nigh!

Not unexpected with how slowly these games sell, but dang. I assure you the likes of Suikoden II and The Misadventures of Tron Bonne are going to leap in price after this shutdown!

Splinter Cell Chaos Theory - GameCube missing bonus disc

Each of the original Chaos Theory releases (PS2, Xbox, GC, Windows) were available in a limited edition. However every indication I can find is that the Gamecube version's packaging was mislabeled and doesn't include the additional disc. There isn't space in the box either, the game is already two d...

I won't sugar coat it. You can't put this kind of genie back into the bottle. In due time there will be selfboot PS2 games out there, as simple to run as the Dreamcast.

GenPDP7 wrote:Yeah. In any case, most people are using more up-to-date solutions (newer Action Replay discs). So perhaps for most it isn't an issue. But in my case I wish there were a way to do this in Win 10.

Well, Action Replay was released before Nintendo's SD adapter.

Re: Violence in Games

If you ask me, most violent games look completely and obviously fake. Grow up or go home as the saying goes.
Splatterfests made by a team who has never seen a medical physician in their lives aren't going to hold my interest for long.

Re: The Mega Man / Rockman Thread

So annoyed that Mega Man Legacy doesn't have a physical release for 9 and 10. Mad it wasn't on PSP/Vita, and mad it's not on Switch (again I would've bought a physical copy). But I'll play it on PS3 one day. Enjoyed 9 so far. There is a physical Legacy Collection 2 on the PS4 that contained 7-10. B...

Re: PAL Gamecube and the Gameboy Player in NTSC ?

Swiss primarily makes homebrew more convenient. You can run apps from SD Gecko, save burnt discs for games that need it.
Video mode and language options too among other things. Cheat codes, disc dumping...

A major improvement for a few Japanese GC titles. PAL systems don't have a region switch mod.
