Personally I see differences in the refresh rate of monitors. I have a 144Hz monitor and a 240Hz monitor. Both 1080p. I see the difference between the performance of the monitors. Screen tearing is unacceptable. That's all I will see if it's present. For gaming applications, I shoot for max settings...
