Hmmm.....not even an honorable mention for my tied spot? Okay, okay.

Just kidding. Funny how often I still check back in this place to see if it is back in business. I sure do miss the days of a busy Racketboy forum.

Re: I'm doing the One-Punch Man workout every single day...

I legitimately think I would drop dead if I tried this. I have always lifted pretty regular and biked a bit. My cardio has been a joke ever since I did flooring for a decade during my teens and early twenties, I tore my back and knees up pretty nicely. My back recovered mostly, my knees not so much....

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?

I burned out on writing movie reviews on a daily basis on my blog, and I haven't actually sat down and put my thoughts about a film since...well, June, I guess. But let me recommend you something: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/7b/Ready_or_Not_2019_film_poster.jpg You. Yes, you. You ri...

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?

Any one watched the 50s version of House of Wax and House on Haunted Hill? Wondering if they are worth the watch since I will be watching the more modern versions of them. I like House on Haunted Hill. I remember seeing the remake when it was released and not really being impressed. The original I ...

Re: Random Thoughts Thread

own a region free (hard modded) Sony BD player that can work in multiple regions because the power supply is entirely external. I haven't updated it, although the seller claims I could, no problems playing anything yet. Here in the states they are cheap enough to own a couple if you are worried abo...

Re: Random Thoughts Thread

That can be a matter of print runs for a given title, and happened with DVDs too. You'll see prices spike on the secondhand market until there's another run done, or a new edition. Thing is, those can also be regional, so you may actually find EU releases/editions that never hit the US. Looks to me...

Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Glad to hear about the change, jp1. I changed jobs almost four years ago, taking an almost 35% pay cut. I left the old job because of the stress. I was completely burnt out, had been for years, and only realized it when the stress started manifesting itself physically in more obvious ways. My curre...

Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

I've been feeling my age in full force this past year and a half or so. Of my three kids, all have reached "adulthood" except the youngest who is sixteen now. There has been a real disconnect/generational gap to deal with on all three fronts. I've had the first death of a close family rela...

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?

Last theater visit was Midsommar in a mostly empty theater. The movie itself was amazing and I hope it did better elsewhere than it presumably did in my area. Such a cool way to explore themes of depression, anxiety, and struggling relationships wrapped in a beautiful little horror movie. The gore w...

Re: Have all the "Official X Threads" hurt forum participati

Yeah, 'don't start a duplicate thread,' was definitely thrown around a lot, in the past. I'm sure I was guilty of it, too. I can't even remember the last time I've noticed anyone saying that, though. (Actually, I do remember some threads not too long ago about recent news in video games, where more...
